About the Pups:
This cute litter consists of three female pups and one male pup. HOPE is the daring tomboy who wears a backwards red cap and rarely looks before she leaps. JINGLE is the diva with a bell on her collar who loves to sing, but can’t carry a tune. CHARITY is the girliest and most self-centered of the pups, with a mistletoe barrette who has yet to learn the meaning of her name. And NOBLE is the mischievous only brother and self-appointed leader who is distinguished by a cheeky black spot around his eye.

  4. I have a litter of ten puppies that was born two weeks ago today. Nine of them are doing great. The tenth one is confusing me. She appears healthy. Her coat looks good, she appears to be nursing fine (without the other puppies). The other pups push her away when they want to eat. I have not seen any sign of the milk coming back up after she has nursed. She does not have cleft palate. The problem she is not gaining weight as quickly as the others. They are all gaining 1 1/2 – 3 oz per day-she is gaining every day but it is an average of .4-.6 oz per day. I have just started weighing her two times per day and I am letting her nurse by herself three times a day and I am sitting with them to make sure she is feeding-hopefully this helps. Do you have any ideas or suggestions?

    • Thank you for visiting my blog and taking time to leave a comment. Unfortunately, I am not a vet or trained to adequately answer your question. When I adopted ChazzTheDog he was already 3 years old, so I have little experience with puppies.

I wish you luck in finding an answer though. It must be upsetting to see this little girl not gaining weight as she should.

      Sincerely,

      Adopted Mom
